    Ukulele Fest strums for the city

    Perhaps “Iz” Kamakawiwo'ole stoked it with his poignant, ukulele-fueled version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” that became a surprise adult contemporary hit. Perhaps people just looked at the instrument and thought, “Four strings. I could play that.” Or perhaps it’s due to Taylor Swift, a ukester who pops licks into hits such as “Fearless.”
