    Naples EOC ready for 2024 Hurricane Season

    The 2024 hurricane season officially starts this weekend and continues through Nov. 30, and after the devastation dealt by Hurricane Ian in 2022, many Southwest Florida residents are understandably apprehensive. According to WINK News Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt, early forecasts call for an above average active—and possibly hyperactive—season because of record warm water temperatures in the tropical Atlantic and El Niño potentially switching to La Niña at the peak of the season in August, September and October.
