    Grand pianos, musical stories

For its 2025-26 season, the Grand Piano Series is bringing back two favorite guest artists from the past: Reed Tetzloff and Evren Ozel, as well as New Generation Artists selectees the ATOS Trio. But it is continuing with the recitals that founded it.

For its 2025-26 season, the Grand Piano Series is bringing back two favorite guest artists from the past: Reed Tetzloff and Evren Ozel, as well as New Generation Artists selectees the ATOS Trio. But it is continuing with the recitals that founded it.

There’s a summer series this month and next that precedes the Narratives Musicale.

    Grand Piano Series

All concerts are at the Daniels Pavilion of Artis—Naples, 5833 Pelican Bay Blvd, Naples. Single tickets are $59; subscriber price is $50.

7 p.m. Nov. 6 – Natasha Paremski, piano. A former Gilmore Young Artist winner, Paremski has played all around the world, from the Minnesota Orchestra and San Francisco Symphony to Zurich’s Tonhalle Orchester and Moscow Philharmonic to recitals in Tokyo and Buenos Aires.

On the program: contemporary composer Quinn Mason, Chopin, Prokofiev and Stravinsky

7 p.m. Dec. 4 – Ani Aznavoorian, cello, and Marta Aznavoorian, piano. The Aznavoorian sisters have performed together across Europe, most recently in Khachaturian and Komitas Halls in Armenia. They performed in recital at the 2024 Ravinia Summer Festival and were featured in a winter residency with the Seattle Chamber Music Society.

On the program: Armenian composer Komitas (Gomidas) Vartabed, Debussy, de Falla and Brahms

7 p.m. Jan. 15 – Benjamin Grosvenor, piano. Grosvenor returns to the Grand Piano Series after a UK tour with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and appearances with the BBC, Chicago, City of Birmingham, Dallas, Montreal, Seattle and Utah symphony orchestras. His recent solo disc release, Schumann and Brahms, was selected as Gramophone Editor’s Choice.

On the program: Beethoven, Schumann, Scriabin and Ravel 7 p.m. Feb. 5 – Reed Tetzloff, piano. Another returning guest artist, Tetzloff has performed all over the world in solo and chamber concerts and has been in residence at festivals such as the Grand Teton Music Festival, the International Keyboard Institute and Festival and the Miami International Piano Festival. He has performed with major orchestras, including the Minnesota Orchestra and the Prague Philharmonic.

On the program: Satie, Lasser, Chopin, Gershwin and Godowsky

7 p.m. March 12 – Alexandra Dovgan, piano. Just at her 20th year of age, Dovgan has already made her mark as a pianist, performing with Gustavo Dudamel and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra; the Kioi Sinfonietta and Trevor Pinnock in Japan; and Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and Paavo Järvi. She made her debut with the London Symphony last season and has toured with the Basel and Stuttgart Chamber Orchestras.

On the program: Chopin, Franck and Prokofiev

7 p.m. April 9 – Eren Ozel, piano. Ozel is a recipient of a 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant, a 2022 Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant and an Ambassador Prize of the 2021 Victor Elmaleh Competition. Since his debut with the Minnesota Orchestra at age 11, Ozel has been a featured soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra among others, and recently recorded his first album of Mozart concertos with the ORF Radio Symphony of Vienna.

On the program: Scarlatti, Beethoven, Bartok, Fauré and Schumann

7 p.m. April 30 – ATOS Trio. Annette von Hehn, violin; Stefan Heinemeyer, cello; and Thomas Hoppe, piano, formed the ATOS Trio in Berlin in 2003. They have won awards from the Deutsche Musikwettbewerb to New Generation Artists selection from the BBC and a Boletto Buitoni Award for artistic excellence. They have performed in halls from Carnegie to Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, and have recorded discs featuring trio music from various countries.

On the program: Haydn, Cassadò and Schubert

    Narrative Musicale summer programs

Konstantin Soukhovetski, director of education and community outreach, narrates each program and performs in a number of them. All programs are in the Ubben Signature Space at Artis—Naples unless otherwise noted. Tickets are $46 unless otherwise noted.

3 p.m. July 16 – (R)evolution of Opera: From the Medici Court to Broadway. Learn about the birth of musical theater in Baroque Florence and its journey to the stages of Broadway. Music ranges from Handel to Lloyd Webber.

4 p.m. July 31 – Ariel Lanyi. At Quidley & Co. Fine Art Gallery, 375 Broad Ave. S., Naples. Recipient of the Prix Serdang, awarded by Austrian pianist Rudolf Buchbinder, and winner of the Young Classical Artists Trust International Auditions, Lanyi brings a program of Chopin, Bartok and Beethoven. $60. All proceeds go to children’s education programs.

3 p.m. Aug. 13 – Rachmaninoff and Scriabin. Explore the lives of two of Russia’s most compelling musical voices, classmates at the Moscow Conservatory whose lives and legacies took vastly different paths. Although they developed distinct different artistic voices, both helped shaped the course of modern music.

4 p.m. Aug. 28 – French Dreaming. At Quidley & Co. Fine Art Gallery, 375 Broad Ave. S., Naples. Grand Piano Series Artistic Director Milana Strezeva and Soukhovetski collaborate on a program of Debussy, Fauré, Psathas and Ravel. $60. All proceeds go to children’s education programs.

3 p.m. Oct 22 – Classics in Hollywood. Some of cinema’s most unforgettable moments are shaped by piano music.

Somewhere in Time, A Song to Remember, All About Eve, The Pianist and Humoresque all employ the emotional power of the piano to heighten the drama of their stories.

3 p.m. Dec. 17 – Nutcracker Origins. Uncover the darker twists of the original fairy tale and hear Tchaikovsky’s famous score performed on piano, synced with rare ballet footage.

Soukhovetski will crack open some secrets about The Nutcracker’s music, dance and narrative in this program.

3 p.m. May 13 – America the Bassooniful. Bassoonist Eleni Katz joins Soukhovetski to showcase the versatility of this slysounding, deep-throated woodwind. Katz focuses on its role in 20th-century music, from Bernstein’s West Side Story to Gershwin’s jazz and Copland’s singularly American music.
