“My husband and I chose to rent for now,” Christine Alfieri said. “I know a lot of young couples like us are afraid to buy right now.” Alfieri, her husband and baby daughter moved to Florida from New York, and though owning a home is in their future plans, the young family is uncomfortable taking the plunge at this time.
