Finding opportunity in Naples
Young professionals build careers without leaving Southwest Florida
The old adage that young professionals must leave their hometowns to “make it” is beginning to lose its grip. A new survey by career platform YourFreeCareerTest, which polled more than 4,000 young people from small towns and rural areas, found that 39% of young people living in Florida want to build their careers where they already are. That shift is visible in Naples, where more young professionals are staying put, encouraged by employers adapting to modern workforce priorities. Amy Hanna-Eckenrode, communications director at CareerSource Southwest Florida, said the region’s business leaders are becoming more flexible than ever before.
