FWC’s SNAP helps manage rising human-alligator encounters
As encounters between people and alligators become more common across Florida, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program, aka SNAP, plays a critical role in public safety — most recently following an attack on a hiker at CREW Bird Rookery Swamp in Collier County on Aug. 17.
