Youngsters at a Chabad Naples workshop became both craftskids and musicians Sept. 10, cutting, polishing and sanding ram horns to create their own shofars. Shofars are blown on the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 22 this year, marking the beginning of the Hebrew year of 5786. Its blast reminds Jews to refine themselves and improve for the coming year.
