Hunt opponents get creative to save animals
More than 163,000 hunters — and others — applied for 172 bear-hunting permits for Florida’s first hunt in a decade, but a portion of that number is a ploy; numerous Bear Defenders and other supporters reportedly applied in an effort to limit the number of actual hunters, and thus the number of bears killed.
