Wilma retains record-breaking status
Hurricane Wilma was a record-breaking storm when it made landfall on Oct. 24, 2005, in Collier County. Since then, some of its intensity records have been surpassed by other powerful hurricanes, but Wilma still remains one for the record books 20 years later.
